"ARAMARK's emphasis and scientific approach using Nutritional DiningStyles Research gives scientists new insights into the evolving eating patterns and preferences of the average American adult. It will be interesting to see how these preferences and habits change over time and if they can be modified by the eating environment."

ARAMARK regularly studies consumer eating patterns and preferences to identify ways to better serve them. Nutritional DiningStyles™ is ARAMARK's proprietary research on the eating habits of American adults.

Facts Behind the Research

Research Offers Insight Into America's Eating Habits and Trends

In 2003, ARAMARK initiated a comprehensive, nationwide study of the eating habits, preferences and perceptions of American adults. Using nationally recognized research firms and sophisticated lifestyle segmentation analysis techniques, six distinct Nutritional DiningStyle types were uncovered that provide a whole new framework for understanding how and why Americans eat the way they do.

Each year since then, over 5,000 Americans over the age of 18 have been interviewed as part of ARAMARK's ongoing Nutritional DiningStyles™ research program. In addition, ARAMARK interviews over 200,000 American consumers each year at the thousands of food service locations we operate. These insights have allowed us to better understand and serve the needs of the millions of American consumers we serve everyday.

The findings of our research have been widely published, presented and recognized by medical, academic and media organizations around the world each year.
